part 2 of 2

| The photo was given to me back in '66. Darrell and I lived a block apart on Emerson Avenue North. Back In the 60's, the days of high school. |

So it came as a shock to me on April 16th, 2026 when I heard of Darrell's death. I call his brother Donald "Don" on the 17th of April 2026.
I was told by Darrell Sandusky brother Don that Darrell got really sick and went to the hospital, spent two weeks in the hospital and passed away. I asked Don when he died of and he did not know the hospital did not know what caused his death.
I looked up Minnesota's first Covid-19 death that occurred on March 20th, 2020. I believe Darrell might have been the first covid death in Minnesota.

Go in peace and remember you are not forgotten while I am still on patrol.

They came this way but once. Yet, they touched our lives in many ways while they were here. We shall remain eternally grateful for their friendship and for the influence each bestowed upon us.
